West End International produced the premiere of this staged symphonic concert for a BBC Radio 2 Broadcast starring Petula Clark and Michael Ball. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black, Sunset Boulevard is the musical adaptation of Billy Wilder’s classic black and white movie, telling the tragic story of Norma Desmond, the ageing silent movie star who enlists the help of the failed and penniless script writer Joe Gillis in her efforts to make a comeback.
